Transitional Kindergarten and Kindergarten Curriculum

Early Education Division

The purpose of this survey is to collect data on the curriculum currently used throughout the state by county offices of education, districts, and schools for Transitional Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K). As part of the state‚Äôs PreKindergarten to Third Grade (P-3) efforts, the California Department of Education (CDE) is updating the California Preschool Learning Foundations, the Desired Results Developmental Profile (DRDP) observational tool, and the corresponding California Preschool Curriculum Frameworks. Through this, the CDE will be addressing stronger alignment and a framework to make a P-3 connection across the standards, DRDP, and curriculum. The information collected in this survey will provide baseline data of what curricula is currently utilized statewide and help inform this project. All questions on this survey are required.
