Summer Food Service Program Vending Options

Welcome to the California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) Vending Options online course 010.

By completing this training, you will become familiar with the several options SFSP sponsors have to choose from when deciding how to vend for their meal sites in California. The options discussed in this training include self-preparation, purchasing meals from schools, purchasing meals from Food Service Management Companies, which we refer to as FSMCs or vendors, and receiving foods from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA).

This training takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Please allow enough time to complete the training in one sitting. At the end of the training, you will be asked to complete a short evaluation. You will then have access to a printable training certificate of completion for your records. Completion of this training is not recorded until you select Submit on the final screen. By selecting Submit, you are acknowledging that you have viewed the entire course.
