Supply Chain Assistance (SCA) Funds

Nutrition Services Division

The California Department of Education (CDE) Nutrition Services Division (NSD) is administering the SCA funds to school food authorities (SFA). All active SFAs, regardless of sponsor type, are eligible to accept SCA funds as long as the SFA currently operates the School Breakfast Program (SBP) or National School Lunch Program (NSLP).

The purpose of these funds is to provide financial and operational relief to SFAs that have experienced challenges in purchasing and receiving food for the school meal programs due to widespread supply chain disruptions.

If your agency already completed the attestation for the first round of funds in spring 2021, and you also wish to receive the second round, no action is required. Your responses from the first attestation will be used to calculate your second round payment.

If you received the first round of funds and wish to opt out of the second round, please notify the SCA funds team via email at SCAfunds@cde.ca.gov.

This attestation is only for agencies who wish to receive the second round of the SCA funds that either did not complete the first attestation or declined the funds the first time.

It is important to review the CDE NSD SCA Funding web page prior to completing this attestation statement.

Additional Information:

This attestation statement must be submitted by an authorized representative of the agency—the individual currently on file in the Child Nutrition Information and Payment System (CNIPS).

You are required to submit your agency’s total enrollment data as of October 2021 (or most current) from all NSLP/SBP/ Seamless Summer Option (SSO) sites. Please have this information ready before moving forward.
