Recommended Literature List: Prekindergarten through Grade Twelve Title Suggestion

The Recommended Literature List is updated annually during the summer with the latest and best in children's and young adult literature. The California Department of Education works with a committee of educators, including teacher librarians, to choose books for each update that have been published within the last few years of that year's update. Previously recommended titles, including those titles considered "classics" are still recommended and can be found on the Previously Published Lists.

To suggest a new title for the Recommended Literature List committee to consider, please complete the following fields. If you have questions, please email the Recommended Literature List team at literaturelist@cde.ca.gov. All questions must be answered excepted where otherwise noted.
