IMPORTANT! Please review all eligibility requirements on the CDE USSYP web page. All applicants must meet these minimum qualifications:
- Must be a high school junior or senior during the 2026–27 school year
- Must be currently serving in an elected or appointed leadership position for the entire 2026–27 academic year
- Must be a U.S. citizen or legal permanent resident at the time of application
- Must reside in California and will do so through the entire 2026–27 school year
- Must be available to attend the entire Washington Week in person, March 6–13, 2027
